Learning Outcomes
At A.M Art, student achievement is reflected not only in results, but also in consistent growth, creative development, and academic progress. Over the years, our students have received various art awards and certificates, and achieved strong outcomes in senior secondary art assessments.
Through structured guidance, process-focused learning, and alignment with official assessment standards, students are supported in developing both artistic ability and academic confidence. These outcomes represent the dedication of our students and the professional support provided throughout their learning journey.

November 2025
Cynthia Lu was awarded Winner of the 2025 Christmas Art Competition, receiving a handwritten congratulatory letter and a $75 gift card from Dr Carina Garland MP, Federal Member for Chisholm.
2025
Yanxi Cheng won First Prize at the Multicultural Youth Art Exhibition, jointly organised by Creative Asia Foundation and Artpie Australia, showcasing artworks by young artists from diverse cultural backgrounds.
In the same exhibition, eight A.M Art students—Henley Shen, Zixi Zhao, Ella Xu, Alice Zhang, Emerson Huang, Hongyi Sun, Felix Xu, and Angela Huang—received Honourable Awards. Their works were exhibited at the Asia Art Centre and received commendation from Councillor Liao Chen.
September 2025
Serena Liu, a student from the prestigious Presbyterian Ladies’ College, was shortlisted for The Doyles Art Award, one of Australia’s most renowned annual painting awards. Her work was exhibited in Queensland.

Callum Yin’s artwork was selected as the cover image of the Jells Park Primary School student handbook and is permanently displayed in the school principal’s office.

Crystal Li’s Wisps and Pinky Qian’s Poisonous Bloom were shortlisted among the Top 26 Emerging Art Beat Youth Artists. Emerging Art Beat is a contemporary art exhibition highlighting emerging and early-career artists, particularly from multicultural, diasporic, and under-represented communities. Their works were exhibited at the Asia Art Centre.
May 2025
Amy Deng, Anita Huang, Tommy Zhao, Emily Zhang, Emily Zheng, and Eric were shortlisted for The Lester Prize, Australia’s most prestigious youth portrait award, and received top honours. Their works were exhibited at the State Museum in Perth, Western Australia, earning unanimous praise from the judging panel.
2024
Twenty-two A.M Art students were shortlisted for The Doyles Art Award, with six students receiving First, Second, and Third Prizes. The shortlisted works included printmaking, oil painting, drawing, and watercolour. Notably, five-year-old Elena Zhang’s artwork My Happy Place was successfully sold.

Hannah Ye, Chloe Yin, Anita Huang, Pinky Qian, and Coco were shortlisted for The Lester Prize, with works exhibited at the State Museum in Perth. Chloe Yin’s artwork was featured on the competition’s official website homepage and displayed along Perth’s main pedestrian street.
November 2024
A total of 11 artworks—five by Hannah Ye, four by Chloe Yin, and two by Pinky Qian—were acquired by Legacy Hill Hotel in Malaysia and are displayed throughout the hotel.

Chloe Yin’s design was selected as the cover artwork of the Brentwood Secondary College student handbook.

Felix Xu was shortlisted in the Endangered Animals Art Competition organised by a national Australian environmental organisation. His work was exhibited at the Box Hill Art Centre.

Emily Wang received the Community Spirit and Leadership Award, presented by Mark Dreyfus KC MP, Federal Member for Isaacs.

Louis Chen won First Prize in the Young Archie Portrait Competition, Australia’s highest youth portrait award. His self-portrait was exhibited at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, showcased on the gallery’s official website homepage, and he was invited on stage to receive the award.

Sophie Feng won the Young Laurie Portrait Competition at the prestigious Lauriston Girls’ School.
November 2022
Liam Xu’s artwork was featured on the Caulfield Grammar School ELC student handbook cover, serving as a young ambassador promoting art education.

Jasiri Zhu’s artwork A White Cat won the Gold Award at the Young Drawers Prize in Canberra and received a $250 art supplies voucher sponsored by Australia’s largest art materials supplier.

Selected A.M Art student artworks were invited to be exhibited at the prestigious Glen Eira Council Gallery, receiving positive feedback from both local audiences and art professionals.

Six A.M Art students—Luca Han, Bella Ding, Skylar Jin, Zhiqian Huang, Eric Zheng, and Andrew—were selected from over 6,000 entries as Finalists in the National Endangered Animals Art Competition organised by the Australian environmental authority.

Aurora Liu won Champion (Ages 4–5) at the Happy Habit Art Competition; Ziyi won Champion (Ages 6–8); Michelle received Second Place (Ages 4–5); and Wang Chenduo received Second Place (Ages 6–8). The children’s artworks were featured in environmental publications and awarded prizes.

Anita Huang’s printmaking self-portrait ranked within the Top 7% of entries in the Young Archie Portrait Competition and was exhibited at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, receiving strong praise from judges.

Ethan Zheng won the Highest Award (Primary School Category) in the Immunisation Coalition Art Competition organised by the Australian Government Department of Health. The judging panel included a Nobel Prize laureate.
